Jillian Bogan is an artist based on Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon. Her work explores the intersection of painting, textiles and sculpture, using materials to create layered compositions that reflect personal narratives, and the tension between the seen and unseen. Through techniques like pleating, soak staining, and string art, she experiments with form and textiles to communicate thought and emotion.

Jillian holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with High Honours and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan. She studied curatorial practice with The Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts under Marina Fokidis and Davood Madadpoor. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in the Chianciano Biennale (Italy), The Salt Spring National Art Prize (Canada), and the Chateau Orquevaux (France) permanent collection. She has been awarded grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and SK Arts and was shortlisted for the Luxembourg Art Prize.

Beyond her art practice, Jillian has a deep passion for ecology and wildlife. She has worked, volunteered, or fundraised for organizations that support injured and orphaned wildlife, including Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation (LSWR) and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Saskatchewan (WRSOS).

She was a mentee in the CARFAC Foundational Mentorship program under Alison Norlen. Jillian has also worked in curatorial roles, organizing exhibitions and community-driven art initiatives.
